Privacy policy

Last updated 2026-07-26

The short versionThe numbers you type into a calculator never leave your browser. We have no account system, no database of calculations, and no analytics. This site currently carries no advertising and sets no advertising cookies.

Who runs this site

PharmCalc is operated as an independent project from Texas, United States. For any privacy question, or to make a request about your data, email [email protected].

What we do not collect

The values you enter into any calculator are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. They are never transmitted to us, never stored on a server, and never logged. There is no sign-up, no login, and no user account. We hold no database of anything you have calculated.

We do not use analytics, we do not fingerprint devices, and we do not run session recording of any kind.

What is stored on your own device

PharmCalc uses your browser's local storage to remember a few preferences between visits. This information stays on your device, is never sent anywhere, and you can erase it at any time from the About page or by clearing your browser data.

Server logs

Like every website, PharmCalc is served by a hosting provider (Cloudflare) which keeps standard request logs for security and reliability. These typically record the IP address making the request, the time, the page requested, and the browser user-agent string. We do not use these logs to build any profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else. They are held by the hosting provider under its own retention policy.

Advertising and cookies

This site currently displays no advertising and sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any ad code is loaded, and visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent management platform before any advertising cookie is set.

Shareable links contain your inputs

Please read thisThe copy permalink feature encodes the values you entered into the web address so the calculation can be restored. Anyone you send that link to can see those values. The link is not sent anywhere by PharmCalc, but it may be logged by whatever you paste it into. Never enter a patient name, medical record number, date of birth, or any other identifier into a calculation.

Health information

PharmCalc provides no field for a patient name or any other identifier, and none should be improvised. Because calculator inputs are never transmitted or stored by us, PharmCalc does not create, receive, maintain, or transmit protected health information on behalf of any covered entity under HIPAA. This describes how the site behaves; it is not legal advice, and an organisation deploying or relying on PharmCalc should reach its own compliance determination.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. Everything PharmCalc stores is on your own device and entirely under your control.
